			  Love horses, but don't have the space for your own? We're looking 
			  for a few volunteers who want to spend supervised time learning to 
			  handle horses and foals. Other options available including
			  riding lessons, 
			  riding leases and 
			  boarding.

			   What 
			  are the requirements. Waivers: All visitors must sign our 
	  liability waiver. 
			  NO EXCEPTIONS.
 Shoes: Volunteers must wear protective 
			  shoes (paddock boots, riding boots, cowboy boots, and other similar 
			  shoes are fine...just make sure those toes are COVERED and no soft 
			  slipper type shoes.)
 Helmet: All riders 
	  must wear an ASTM approved riding helmet if mounted on a horse. Helmets are available for 
	  purchase at the Culpeper Tractor Supply, Culpeper Co-op, MAD tack or 
	  Saddlery Liquidators in Madison.
 What age ranges 
	  are accepted?In general, this is an open opportunity 
	  for children around 10 and up who are willing to listen and demonstrate self 
	  control and situational awareness. Parents are required to remain with the 
	  children under 16 years of age.
 How do I get 
	  started?The first step is a visit to the farm
	  (Visits by appointment only.) There, you can see our 
	  facility, meet us, and view the horses. We will go over the rules and 
	  expectations and answer any questions that you may have. We reserve the right to 
	  accept or deny volunteers at our discretion.
