 This colt has a PHENOMENAL way of going! He was gaiting around his dam as
soon as he stood up. He has an incredible running walk with a great big
stride and deep head nod. We couldn't think of a name that suited him more
than "Traveler" since that is what this colt was born to do.
We toyed with the thought of naming him "Gambler's Chestnut Shadow" or
"Gambler's Favorite Son," since he is just that. If you're ever looking
for Traveler, you need only find Gambler. Traveler won't be more than two
feet away. He also has the distinction of being THE only colt that Gambler
will allow to eat out of his bucket with him. The other weanlings aren't
allowed in Gambler's stall while he eats. Traveler has preferred his sire
over everyone else since birth. In fact, when we weaned him from his dam
he did not call to her once, but when we take Gambler out without
Traveler, the colt whinnies and runs the fence line.
He has two full siblings, Gambler's Star
Surprise and Gambler's Cowboy Cassanova.
He is proudly owned and loved by Amy, George, and Daniel Hawkins of Arlington, Virginia.
