Gambler's Tennessee Pride
Golden Gambler x Tennessee Taxi
This colt was built like his powerhouse dam. His conformation is excellent
with a broad chest, strong back and good, solid bone. He will also be tall
and very, very muscular. His head is refined and reminiscent of a
well-bred quarter horse with the his doe eyes, broad forehead, tapered
muzzle and large jaw. He has tons of presence - a real "look at me" colt
that grabs everyone's attention.
When I ponied him from his
sire and he showed tremendous promise. He proved himself to be
naturally gaited, surefooted, and intelligent - all qualities that I look
for in a trail horse prospect. He has navigated uneven and shifting
terrain with good balance and sense. His natural gait was long-strided,
consistent and 4-beat. (He moved very much like his sire, who is my
favorite riding horse for good reason!)
This sweet colt was owned and loved by Hope and Michael Spencer of
Gates, North Carolina. He passed away due to complications from colic
in 2011. "Joker" will be missed be all who knew him.
