Golden Gambler x FF Ebony & Ivorys Maggie

Annie was bred and retained by Fosters Follies. Annie was full of life and personality from birth. She is fiercely independent - only visiting her dam when she needed milk. She is bold, fearless and always on the go and into everything. She absolutely LOVES people and attention. She has been exceptionally easy to start under saddle (just like her sire!) and loves to please.

"Both of our 2006 foals were exactly what we had hoped! I told Gambler and Maggie I wanted a perlino filly, and viola! A beautiful perlino filly with much more spunk than her cremello half sister. Her dam and grand-dam were both bred by Fosters Follies and her sire is our herd sire, Golden Gambler. We're going to be keeping this little girl. Way to go Gambler and Maggie!" - Barb Foster

Annie was started under saddle in 2008. Barb reports that Annie has been exceptionally easy to work with. Her natural intelligence and confidence are real assets. She loves to please and is very responsive. Best of all, her natural, smooth gaits are bred-in, not nailed on!

The results are in from UC Davis and Annie is homozygous for black, has one agouti and two cream genes. When she's bred to any chestnut/bay/black she can only have buckskin or smokey black foals. If she's bred to a chestnut or bay stallion who is homozygous for the agouti, she will only have buckskins!

Congratulations to Sharon on her purchase of Annie Up. She will be used to breed colorful walking ponies in Tennessee.
