Swiss Miss is kind, affectionate, and as well mannered. She
doesn't crib, weave or have any vices at all. She is very athletic
and I think she'd be a great endurance mount. She dog walks (so you
can still ride with your QH friends), stepping paces, racks and
canters. She has good sense. She stands a stocky 15h. She has a great build, straight legs,
short back and solid bone.
She is suitable for intermediate riders rather than beginners only
because she's not had as much experience as some. She has trail
ridden, but lived a life of liesure with her breeder until she came
to us a year ago. She is not a "mareish" or spooky mare. She can be
a bit herd bound.
She is a true easy keeper. Not the version of "easy keeper" that
indicates a horse who can stay fat on air and water, usually due to
a problem with insulin resistance --- but a TRUE easy keeper. She
gets free choice minerals and grass (or hay) and stays in beautiful
shape all year round. She has never had any health issues. She is
just a very healthy and sound horse. We keep her barefoot, which is
ideal for her hard mustang-like feet.
Swiss Miss was bred
by Rise and Shine Walkers of Kokomo, Indiana. She is a gorgeous,
friendly mare who is easy to catch and loves attention. She was started by Jason
Crawhorn of JT Stables, but I would still consider her green broke.
She is a bold, brave mare who will make an excellent trail mount
with a little more riding. Her sire is
Caper's Major League, by
Alen's Caper
and out of Personal Power mare.Her dam is a direct
Spotted
Allen Again daughter out of a
Pride's Generator mare. She could be
homozygous for black.
